My classical guitar song “En La Brisa” seems to be useful to allot of people. So I decided to create another, but with a more ethereal dramatic sound that could be used under dialog in a soundtrack. This works out since I am working on the score for my short sci fi film.

It turns out that this track, which uses some vast ambient sounds, its really relaxing and meditative. So folks could also just download the mp3, sit back and listen : )

Im exploring a new style this week called ambient dub. This track is called “Joy in Land Formation”.

I also discovered a new cable tv channel called “Sci” which was hidden all the way up in the hundreds. There are tons of amazing shows and is now my second tv spot after SyFy!

This is a new track called “Rehab Sunglasses” in the crunk style made popular by Lil Jon. Crunk is mainly known for super heavy base lines over electronic beats.

This track also has a rave techo and dubstep flavor that is a bit different than traditional Crunk. Its a full length instrumental piece you could use for a complete song.

Hi, here is a new complete instrumental electronica song called “Permafrost”. This is the 4th track in a series I am producing for a new vocal album which I am excited about.

The other tracks for the CD so far are “Junk Ship Gold”, “Inkarnation” and “Heart Quake”. It will be an electronica pop album with songs similar to my vocal track “Silk”. After I record all 10 instrumentals I will write lyrics and record singing. You can check them all out here.

This song starts out with a verse of very spacious electric piano and then electronic drums kick in with a steady solid beat. The chorus lightens up and is kind of bouncy. After that there is a bridge that has a middle-eastern style riff to change things up. The songs ends out with a synth melody on top of acoustic piano.

This is a new classical piece I had fun putting together for the soundtrack of my upcoming short scifi film Zedic and the Crimson Born. I call it “Origo Vitae” and it kind of reminds me of the type of mysterious creepy music you might hear in the old Star Trek series.

It begins with an ethereal drone, followed by a bit of winds and horns. Then a full string section section kicks in with triangle and timpani. There is a an interlude of wispy flute in the midsection and outro.

Of course this track is creative commons licensed and you can use it in your own film, YouTube video or game.

Hi, here is a new Spanish classical piece in the habanera style. It consists of a few simple rhythmic chord progressions, acoustic bass and a distinct melody. The track is about 3:30 in length. It could be great background music for a nature video or slideshow.

I call this En la Brisa (In the Breeze) because it sounds fun to me but also subtle. The music has an upbeat feeling while also being relaxing.

Much to my initial surprise, DanoSongs gets visitors from all over the world. Folks from Australia are big users of the music for instance and I get allot of requests from them. In particular, for indigenous aboriginal Didgeridoo royalty free music.

I am also currently editing and scoring my short scfi film “Zedic and the Crimson Born” (see trailer) which was written by an Australian, Karen Buckton. So I thought that I can use a Didgeridoo track for the soundtrack, and also provide a new original instrumental song for people to use on YouTube, podcasts, games and other projects.

I call it Allambee Divides the Timor Sea (Allambee’s Song). Thanks to the magic of legal sampling and some amazing software – I was able to compose, arrange and mix this piece using authentic Didgeridoo sounds. Also, since I can’t settle for anything that doesn’t add something new, there is a mix of other instruments from all over the world.

Other instruments in the mix: Frame Drum, Riq (Arabic), Crash Box (similar to the African Balaphone), Dumbek or “Goblet Drum” (Middle East, North Africa), Berimbau (Brazil), Caxixi (West Africa), Dejembe (African), Sitar (India of course).

Hi, this is another series of ten pop electronic songs that  I am going to make a vocal album out of over the next year. For now I’m posting the instrumental for folks to use.

This track, called “Heart Quake” has some 80s sounding synthesizer in the verse and a driving rhythm rock guitar riff in the chorus. I was inspired by Eminem’s “Lose yourself” for the guitar part. That is one of my favorite songs.

There is a very fat pulsing bass line through the whole tune, that really gets going in the bridge with some crazy rock guitar feedback. Listen for the phaser and delay on the guitar.

You’ll also hear some hip hop turntable and gritty grime beats thrown in to mix things up. Since I composed this as a song background it has a pop structure of verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, solo, verse chorus.

Here is new electronica instrumental music called “Junk Ship Gold”. It has an upbeat fun groove with a bit of a retro 80s dance sound.

The style is inspired by the Justin Timberlake album I’ve been listening to lately, along with an Owl City / Black Eyed Peas mix CD I have. I even hear a bit of Michael Jackson in the chorus beat and some hits like old Madonna tunes.

All of my songs with beats overwhelmed and distracted from the dialog. So now I have just finished scoring one of the scenes for my short film and I am sharing this track “Ibrido Umano” with you to use as free stock music as well.

It is has a tense, creepy vibe that can be used for suspense, mystery and even horror. In fact, I have mixed many sound effects in with the strings that sound slightly “paranormal”.
